Job Vacancy: Quality Inspector

About The Role

Working within the Aerospace and Oil & Gas industries, we are looking to strengthen our quality department with an experienced Quality Inspector. Using a variation of measurement techniques, you will be working to industry standards and communicating effectively with all associated departments within the manufacturing process.

  • Position: Quality Inspector.
  • Location: Burnley.
  • Shift: Days (Monday to Friday – early finish on Friday).
  • Type: Permanent.
  • Rate: £16 to £18 per hour (depending upon experience).
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspection of components in line with customer specifications and contracts.
  • Manual inspection and CMM inspection.
  • Manage and reporting data to monitor site KPI’s and local metrics.
  • Support with preventative action and continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage non-conformance activities and generation of detailed non-conformance reports.
  • Review work in line with customers specifications and contracts.
  • Develop and implement quality initiatives, including tracking, analysing, reporting and problem solving.
  • Undertake system and processes audits.
  • Good understanding of AS9100 & NADCAP standards.
  • Acquire and analyse data and report effectively to the necessary management and departments.
  • Paying attention to Safety, Quality, Cost, Deliver and People whilst also working within any defined standards.
  • Work to industry standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that health and safety is adhered to at all times.
Person Specification
  • Engineering qualifications are beneficial along with experience within quality orientated roles.
  • Well versed in the use of dimensional measuring equipment.
  • Exposure to CMM experience is desirable and the ability to program is advantageous.
  • Familiar with RCCA,8D, PFMEA and PPAP.
  • Diligent and confident in your approach to work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments.
  • Working to industry standards.
  • Computer literate, able to record date and report and errors and any potential improvement techniques.
  • Positive approach to work.
