Working in a busy environment on a variation of parts, you will be an integral part of the team that drives production, works closely with our customers and supports the team.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring production methods are consistent and suitable in relation to customer specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure all jigs and tooling are correct for each job.<\/li>\n<li>Produce designs of tooling\/ equipment using 3d cad for manufacturing purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating effectively with customer throughout the process.<\/li>\n<li>Support any engineering issues raised by other departments.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend and implement improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Working on a variety of different jobs\/parts.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all jobs launched internally from the department have the required tooling , programs and plannings.<\/li>\n<li>To highlight any quality deficiencies or opportunities to improve current quality of planning\u2019s products and processes.<\/li>\n<li>Help and drive continuous improvement and highlight potential for cost reduction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>What are we looking for?<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideally Time Served\/Apprentice trained but this isn\u2019t essential.<\/li>\n<li>Good mechanical engineering background.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with moving components, widgets, nuts and bolts.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing.<\/li>\n<li>A conventional machining background is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Turning, Milling, EDM, Multi-Axis Machining, 3D Modelling.<\/li>\n<li>Proactive approach to work and good communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a permanent position on the day shift which is Monday to Thursday 8am till 4.30pm and Friday 8am till 12.15pm (35 hours).
