Spencer Hayes Group – Celebrating 10 Years in Business & Fundraising for Local Charities
Every year, Spencer Hayes Group supports one chosen charity, whether it’s active fundraising or sponsorships. In the past, the group has done zipwires, chest waxing and even a tattoo.
For their 10th Anniversary, Spencer Hayes Group has chosen not one, not two but three varied charities to support. Depher CIC, Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary and The Raft Foundation.
Spencer Hayes Group was founded in 2013, by Paul Bentley, Marc Kirker, Daniel Robinson and Dan Page. Emma Booth has recently joined the board of Directors and the company has grown immensely in recent years. Having their HQ in Rawtenstall, also opening offices in Yorkshire and Birmingham.
Spencer Hayes Group is a Commercial Insurance Brokerage, specialising in Fleet Insurance and Risk Management. Having multiple divisions, meaning they’re constantly expanding their horizons.
Who are the charities?
Depher CIC
Disabled and Elderly Plumbing and Heating Emergency Response (DEPHER), established in March 2017 by James Anderson. Providing free or heavily subsidised emergency plumbing and heating services. As well as going the extra mile paying for food shops, Christmas gifts and much much more.
Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary
This charity finds new homes for over 1,300 animals each year, established in 1968. Caring for various animals, such as; horses, goats, cats, dogs or even rabbits. Bleakholt has an onsite vet and cares for those who have no one.
The Raft Foundation
Being next door neighbours to Spencer Hayes Group, The Raft Foundation provides weekly shops to those who need them in Rossendale. Helping families get back on their feet. As well as supplying food, Raft also provides toiletries and self care products to give people their confidence back.
The Insurance brokerage provided a money donation for Bleakholt and Depher and supported The Raft Foundation by doing a shop for them every month in 2023.

Seeing a pattern on items they were always short on, tinned meat, soup, toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap) and pet food. Please donate if you can!”

“These charities are very close to our hearts, we handpicked them last year and we wanted to make sure they were local to us and resonated with what we believe in.
We hosted a 10 Year Anniversary party and instead of charging people for tickets, we simply asked our guests for a donation to support these fantastic charities.”
