Please welcome George, Head of Protection!

George began his career in the early days of the contact centre and BPO industry, gaining hands-on experience across a range of products and markets. Starting out in utilities and telecoms and then key consumer sectors, he progressed into mobile, broadband, and eventually insurance. Throughout his journey, George developed a strong focus on people management and leadership, playing an instrumental role in scaling businesses from modest teams of 80 to thriving operations with over 2,500 staff.

With experience across both B2C and B2B markets, George has built a broad skillset and a deep understanding of customer service and commercial strategy. His transition into financial services felt like a natural next step, where he found his niche in protection insurance. To enhance his capabilities, George completed both the R05 and CeMAP qualifications, enabling him to deliver top-tier customer service and training.

Outside of work, George is a proud family man. He’s married to his wife, Claire, and a father to five children (two grown-up and three younger ones), and lets not forget their beloved dog, Bonnie. Family time is his priority, whether that’s travelling together or just sharing laughs, usually at the mercy of his famously bad dad jokes.George has also picked up a few random skills over the years. Once solving a Rubik’s Cube in under 30 seconds (though he admits it’s probably closer to two hours now). George dabbles with the guitar, and in his earlier years, travelled the world studying Wing Chun, a martial art that gave him unforgettable experiences and friendships. These days, he takes a more relaxed approach to fitness, mainly walking past the gym on his way to the sauna.
